Hi there.  I'm a second year graduate student at the University of Colorado at Boulder in the Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences (ATOC) Department.  For the past year my research has focused around understanding the exchange between the upper troposphere and lower stratosphere (UTLS region).  I have been  working with John Gille at UCAR / NCAR and looking at this region using HIRDLS data.  There are many people that work on HIRDLS data, in various capacities, but the 'science' aspects of the data was not analyzed until last year, hence the addition of me.  For more details on my various research interests click on 'Research'.

Now a little bit of personal information.  I am originally from Alaska, but always wanted to travel and try different places.  So after high school I moved to Dallas, TX, just to move and try something new.  Worked a bit then decided to go to school, so I completed a bachelor's degree in physics at the University of Texas at Dallas (UTD).  Well, needless to say, I got restless again, so decided to go someplace new for graduate school.  I had a few options for graduate school, but the University of Colorado at Boulder (CU) won out for many reasons, one of which was the mountains!  For more information about my various travels, interests, cool websites, pics, etc .... click on the 'Personal Page' link.
